New Web site
Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of making a new web site. It will take me a bit to transfer all the information from the old one to the new one, so please be patient! I think it will be a nice site. Hope you all will like it!

Unexpected Entertainment!
Well, I didn't expect to get a 10-day vacation from writing, but that's what happened! After three days of an increasingly sore shoulder, I woke up one morning unable to use my right arm. A trip to the doctor brought a diagnosis of an over-stressed AC joint. (Acromioclavicular joint if you want the medical term.) Basically, it's where the collar bone, the shoulder bone, the neck muscles, the arm muscles, the tendons and ligaments, and the rest of the connective tissue all come together. So when that got inflamed, it complained.
I was told that typing and crocheting were now forbidden. I was given exercises to keep the joint moving and increase my extemely limited range-of-motion, and had a schedule of exercise, ice application, and rest. In addition, I was supposed to go to a banquet that evening with my husband, but my arm had hurt so much I hadn't washed my hair in nearly a week . . .
Just as an experiment, try telling your 18-year-old son that he's got to wash his mom's hair and see the reaction you get! It's quite entertaining!
I managed to exist without either writing or crocheting for 10 days, but only because I could read a lot! So today is the first day back at editing. I'm in the process of tearing apart chapters 1-9 of Dahveed 4. One of my advanced readers, who specifically edits for plotting, told me that the last half of the book was very good, the second quarter was good, but the first 9 chapters were your basic trash. Sigh. She was right, of course. She normally is!
So, back to the drawing board today after the unexpected break.

I'm no longer buried in Dahveed!
Well, Labor Day is over, and I'm emerging from the BC era! Editing on Dahveed 4 is going along well. I've got mechanical corrections, and am now working on story structure critique.
The hummingbirds still use the feeder. I've got two of them who come, and they chase each other a lot. The yellow jackets have found the feeder also. Have you ever seen a duel between ad yellow jacket and a hummingbird? It's quite amusing!
School has started, and I'm heading into plotting mode. Spread the news that Ruth and Boaz is available as an e-book now! No cover for that yet. I'm working on it. I've got the art work, now I just need to get the text on it . . .

More e-books are out there
Well, not having anything else to do while I'm waiting for Dahveed 4 to be edited and returned, I have formatted and put up for sale three other e-books. The latest one is Ruth and Boaz: The Story of Yahweh's Harvest. Note the title change for the e-book. This is the uncut version of the story. If you're interested in what got cut in the print copy, go the my web page and click on the title to Ruth and Boaz. I tell what happened there. The other two books I posted are under the "Devotional and Inspirational" page.
Did you know that a ruby-throated hummingbird's ruby throat comes in one feather at a time? It does. I've got one little guy that sits on my feeder and flashes his three ruby feathers while he looks me over. They are on the bottom row of his throat, and the rest of his throat and belly are white. It looks so odd!

New Genre for my writing.
While I'm waiting for Dahveed 4 to come back from editing, I decided to add to my list of publications something which grew from my own devotional life a couple of years ago. It's a devotional/meditation piece on the Lord's Prayer. Check out my
web page for the details.
In other news, I've acquired a humingbird feeder, which sits about 5 feet away from me on my back porch. I'm getting used to being buzzed as the hummers come swooping in to investigate it. Then there are the little red squirrels that go skittering along the electrical cable over the back alley, except when they nearly run into the morning dove sunning itself on the same wire, and there is a moment of rather amusing confusion . . .
Yes, I do get editing done out here in spite of the distractions!
